This is a 6″ square ‘pop art style’ canvas that I made for the Cloth Paper Scissors Day of the Dead competition. The squares are painted with Tim Holtz distress paints. The skulls are my own ‘Funky Bones’ designs which have been cut from card which has been covered with torn book pages (from Grey’s Anatomy). I normally just use thick white handmade paper or white felt for the skulls, but using the torn book pages adds to the randomness already created by the mismatched button eyes & hand-sewn mouths.
